Coming back yesterday on I90 after celebrating grandbabby Kennedy's 5th birthday halfway to the pass, the setting sun was absolutely blood red and then disappeared into the brown hazed Seattle skyline you couldn't see because there is so much smoke in the air. Must really be tough on folks with COPD or other respiratory issues.

Once upon a time, there was a defined beginning and end to fire season. Sadly, now it's always fire season.
