Uh, no. 401(k) plans are terrible, and were originally intended to let business owners defer tax on more of their earnings. The pittance employees are allowed to shelter each year would never fund a comfortable retirement.
That said, a 401(k) plan is better than no plan at all, and you have to admire our GOPer overlords for their relentless campaign to hack away at even this pitiful thread of the social safety net.
