No Packers on TV this week which spares me 3 hours of pain.
Women's basketball is back though and UConn vs Stanford from Columbus, Ohio is at 1:30!
I suggest that everyone not interested in today's games spend the day reading Roy Moore's favorite periodical: <img src="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DOcVCdRWsAEQa-Z.jpg"> From the wonderful twitter feed Pulp Librarian
There's so much money sloshing around DoD that some of it is bound to corrupt people. Look at the sixty Navy admirals who are being investigated in the |Fat Leonard case.| It's not Rosenberg-type spying because you believe the other side is morally superior, or people being suborned by threats against their relatives on the other side.
It's just amazing that it corrupted two people in that group. I mean they're as likely as anyone but it's still going to make you step back and go "holy shit what"
I worked with some Green Berets back in the late 90's. They were smart, sophisticated, fluent in then-exotic languages like Arabic and Farsi, and had all survived the most rigorous imaginable selection process. I would imagine the SEALs of that era were comparable.
But when the Global War on Terrorism started it seems possible the services had to flesh out the ranks quickly and stopped being so selective. Jesse Ventura, for instance, was a SEAL during the Vietnam War. In the early years of the war in Afghanistan they sent putative Army Rangers to fight there who had not yet completed Ranger school—including Pat Tillman.
Dammit, I am so fucking sick of the Patriots. I'm peace-outing it to watch the early SportsCenter since I need a break from the news, which seems determined to trigger me every Goddamned day (and I wish to fuck I were being sarcastic when I say triggered.) Sleep well, Wonkvillians!

It's okay, UConn won.
Cheeseheads are about to win too
… With Brett Hundley? On the road? I'm really, really surprised.

Chargers @ Jaguars
Vikings @ Redskins
Cowboys @ Falcons
Texans @ Rams
And my Steelers are playing a bad team, which means they will likely blow it.
And:

Apropos of which, Bill Kristol said an interesting thing.

HA!
Looks like my one-time favorite team is going to bore the nation tonight by handing its ass to the Patriots. Go Donkeys!
Aaron Jones carted off. I'm pretty sure the Packers are dead.
The Couchgoats would like to thank weejee for starting two players on IR this week
https://twitter.com/attackerman/status/9297737661… I'm scared
Thanks for the heads-up. Bracing myself for yet another "what in the everloving fuck is he doing now?" moment FFS.
He just heard that I got a microphone and is terrified I'm going to try to sing.
Still nothing out there. Taking alternate deep breaths and sips of Cabernet.
Here it is. SEALs killed a Green Beret because he uncovered their scam.

Even two of the people there to kill Bin Laden ended up being terrible. Fuck.

It's just stupid greed.

[Is this it, I wonder]?
[My reaction after hearing about that Steelers "win" FFS]
Ugh, New England and Denver- I can't decide who I want to lose more. I'm rooting for the giant sinkhole…
Maybe the Yellowstone super-volcano. That would solve a lot of problems.
With my luck Yellowstone will explode while I'm out west next summer or something.
Ahem……..

The model I saw had us getting like 10 mm of ash in western Ohio at most from it. With my luck I'd literally be in Wyoming lmao

So would our black holes then create 2-dimensional universes?
This means anime is real, gg
Makes my head hurt.
Oh sure. Now you tell me.
sucks that we turned over the ball via touchback when Cunningham lost the ball crossing the goal line
Aren't there bone spurs or something in corsets?
