I find it odd that Mt. Washington, at 6288 feet in elevation, has any part of it's prominence above timberline. The Bristlecone pines on White Mountain grow higher than 11,000 feet. Reply
I've seen snow on your Oakland Hills before. Not often and not much, to be sure. At 8K ft in the Sierra, we had to cancel or postpone our July 4 parade more than a few times due to snow. I hate snow. Reply
