So I really don't want to get everyone all sad, but this article completely missed why the road was called "Old Dixie Highway." It was actually originally part of an old north-south series of highways going from south Florida to Michigan and Chicago. Dixie Drive here in Dayton is also part of it.
For the one time ever, yes. It was actually built kind of as a tourist thing to try to get midwesterners to visit Florida, amazingly enough.
Of course, the losing their minds about a small section of it being named for Obama IS clearly hate, but I'm sure those idiots don't know where the highway name comes from either. They just see the word Obama and foam at the mouth.
HA!!
Yeah, I know where there's gonna be a whole lotta shot-up road signs.

Oh, so it is heritage, not hate then?

How about "Obama-Dixie Highway"? That way everybody can get pissed off!
I like the way you think!
Yeah, tehRump is right about "political correctness."
Trump wouldn't know what context was if it sat unnaturally on his head.
Does "War of Northern Aggression Memorial Highway" not fit on a sign?
The Long Obama-Dix Highway or GTFO
"Lee-Jackson-King Highway?"
Show me the long form Rebel Certificate™!
