Yeah, I ran into the same problem at our last Esoteric Order of Dagon service up at Innsmouth. The authorities made us let all those children loose. Still alive, even. Such a waste.
I remember being schooled by a commenter here, probably you, to the effect that not all abused children grow up to abuse their children as I had been taught in Soc 101. That's why I qualified the original comment that way.
Doesn't sound like something I'd do, far too understanding…

Religious discrimination is an ugly thing.
Cthulhu weeps
those children will be eaten last
I knew this shit would start spiralling out of control, the moment that dread phrase in the Hobby Lobby decision was published.
You make your bed, you lie in it.
They didn't just open Pandora's box, they drop kicked it down a flight of stairs and jackhammered the lid off.
Wassamatta? Can't pop 'em out on yer own ennymoar?
Many, but not all, abused children grow up to be child abusers. It's the great cycle of life, and government should just stay out of it.
Hakuna matata!
Exactly why I chose never to have children. Terrible thing for a 7 year old kid to have to decide, but my mind was made up, and I stuck to it.
Wow. I was going to say I didn't have children because I was afraid they'd turn out like me, but that doesn't seem very funny now.
If by "like me" you mean abused, then yes! And one must laugh through the haze of time. Everything's funny, later.
