The writer of the book reviewed here is a West Pointer, retired Army colonel, Vietnam vet, and his message is one War Oligarchs and their sycophants on teevee don't care to hear: that we are misusing our military and caught in cycle of endless war. I read his book Breach of Trust and admired him enough to email him. He had the courtesy to answer back.
I want to read that book and will return to the site but I'm disappointed in the editing: Bacevich’s argument might annoy those who continue to see victory just around the corner, or who believe that American can solves it problems with more firepower.
