I remember when RWNJs used to use the "are you willing to be drafted?" line to try to derail feminists: now they are trying to draft us women? So hard to keep up with what passes for wingnut logic these days…
Hunter actually enlisted in the Marine Corps on September 12, 2001, went to OCS and served three combat tours as an artillery officer. His father was a sitting congressman at that time, and I'm in no position to disparage anyone else's military service, but the military does have an understandable self-interest in protecting children of politicians, e.g. Pat Robertson and his pappy. Hunter's Wikipedia page lists all his awards and decorations and none is the type awarded for valor. Just sayin….
How about we have a national referendum, and only those of draft age can vote in it? (Also, if we were to re-institute the draft, it should be with the option to do non-military service, without having to prove CO status. Having an enormous standing army would make Congress think LESS about cheerily heading into endless, pointless war, not more.)

Nah, then they'll just have more people to fight their 87th war.
