AT 714 PM EDT…RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN
OVER THE ADVISORY AREA. RAINFALL OF 1 TO 2 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED
FROM THESE STORMS.
Yeah, I see 'em on the northeast radar. Criminy, looks like an enormous line squall. Columbus better batten those hatches.
It's just a bunch of rain with a bit of lightning here, amazingly enough. We just don't have enough forcing to get a big line, just a few embedded strong storms (like the earlier tornado warning that lasted like 10 minutes)
That's a relief. The air's been so saturated here that I'm surprised we didn't get blowup thunderheads when the sun came out today.
Quiet here, for now. A good cell blew through the tidal Potomac at 5, with 30 kt winds and stuff, but that's long gone.
Hope you don't get hit too hard tomorrow.
Thanks, me too. I'm a severe weather fan, but I'd like to save up all of my abject fear for hurricane season in September.
Well if you want a less serious tropical thing to watch, check out what's in the northwest Caribbean. Could end up as a weak to moderate tropical storm heading northeast across Florida.

I'd definitely go for it if Hillary came here for anything other than the debate. She hasn't been within an hour of Dayton yet, so it's a matter of waiting. Thanks for the tip about how to make the most of it!
It turns out that normal people won't be allowed in the debate in Dayton. Only media and students of the university will be in the crowd which is really annoying.
We need self-driving cruise ships. Maybe self-sanitizing ships too, come to think of it.
94° @ 10:00 a.m.
Remind me not to move to Arizona
107° @1:00 p.m.
Thanks
77° F, 5:47 PM. Light breezes, scattered putty clouds. I'm going for a walk.

Today's the only day in recent memory that hasn't had a massive rain squall. I'm enjoying the hell out of it.
109° @3:00
BALLS
Well, we're supposed to get | horrific thunderstorms and rain | tonight and tomorrow, so there's that.

I guess officially at TIA topped-out at 109.
That's about 20 too high for me.
Yeah, but it's a dry Hell.

Yeah, fuck those scorpions. And Centipedes. Ask Blue about the Mole Crickets too – they'll break your heart.

I'll bet your collection was in the Wok already, with some spring onions, garlic and ginger.

HAHA
In Zambia, mole crickets are thought to bring good fortune, while in Latin America they are said to predict rain.
Neither of those are operative in Arizona, of course.
Needs more airhorns

YouTube had a Vuvuzela button during the last World Cup, where you could do that to any video. If you really wanted to.
Imagine adding a vuvuzela to the vuvuzela video.
I'd be afraid of causing some kind of spacetime rift. I think this would vastly improve Trump's speeches, though.
"How long can you blow me?"

I bet that was an experience! Wouldn't mind going to one of those myself.

Oh, I hadn't seen that site, cool find! I only knew about the debate in Ohio because it was all over the news when it was announced.
YAY awesome
Update: Hillary won the Virgin Islands caucus!

Huh. A friend just mentioned, over a beer, the [sinking of HMS Victoria in 1893], as one does. He didn't *say* he'd heard about this.
Band name.

The captain was bringing this one in all by himself, for some reason. Harbor Pilots? We don't need no esteenkin' Harbor Pilots!
