These medico statements to the effect that chemo and radiation will produce a 50-60% chance of surviving 5 years are infuriatingly vague, but probably the best anyone could do as an estimate. My ex was given something like a 70 percent chance of 5 years without recurrence after that sort of treatment for breast cancer, and 6 years later she was dead.
Helped my mom guide my dad to the great beyond back when I was 24, a re-metasthesis of pancreatic cancer. Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Palliative care or assisted suicide IMHO would be the most humane in such cases.
