Remember when it was okay to work across the aisle and not just obstruct shit for the sake of doing so? Ugh, Fife was gubner when I got here.. I know Mecham was a complete racist POS. (I was living in PA at the time and remember the MLK fallout. I never thought in a million years I'd end up here!)

I remember really not wanting Janet to go.. AZ is one of those states that doesn't have a Lieutenant Gov. position. The realization that Leather Drinkface was next in line practically gave me hives. But hell, they went on to actually elect her when |she couldn't even complete a fucking "about me" sentence at a debate!| (watching live at the time .. ⊙_ʘ) There was one relatively recent Prop to establish a Lt. Gov position, but of course it failed.
Arizona's transient 'resident' quality is really reflected in politics here. People set up shop, slobber some Republican knobs shake some hands, make their money and move on. Same with the electorate–nobody lives here long enough to give a shit. And don't even get me started on the Corporate Commission… Arizona is always ripe for exploitation.
17.5 over the Cards, best in the majors- I'll take it! Odds are they'll play SF at home, then tangle with either the Dodgers or the Nats. Knock on wood, we have a pretty good shot at making the series this year. Madden is already throttling back and treating Sept like spring training so the large lead should give us plenty of time to get everyone healthy and rested (and we still won today)
