So is everybody on the BWI/IAD/DCA axis rushing to the store to buy fans and ice trays, the same way they load up on diapers and milk before a snowstorm?
Everyone in the Balt/D.C. area is having a collective HVAC system breakdown. Much overtime and refrigerant will be expended in these next few days, I predict.
Brownouts/blackouts due to extreme peak grid demand will add to the fun, no doubt. I'm hoping some of our Congress Creatures get caught in the same steambath.
People are complaining about the temps hitting the low 90's and high 80's here. I'm just politely nodding along, knowing that my biggest problem is waking up early enough to get my run in. Good luck to those of you dealing with worse weather!
It just rained for a few minutes, lowered the temp from 100 to 85 almost immediately. The humidity is still oppressive, though. By our standards, I mean.

Lived there for years and often visit relatives, so I know whereof you speak. Like everything else in life, it's worse for poor people.
