  1. …allege companies misled doctors and other healthcare providers by not disclosing the "addictive and debilitating" nature of opioids.
Ok , fine, but sue the doctors too.
    Whooocoodaknod?

      1. She said she has inquired, but doctors advised against because of the other health issues she has.
I said, "Fine, but then quit texting me that your whole body aches b.c. of cold , wet weather and low pressure."
        I'm a bad brother.

    1. I get goodies from a friend with a medical card in Oregon. The THC in some strains is really pretty low; they're bred for a high CBD, the thing that helps with medical issues. A lot of times medical pot has higher levels of either THC or CBD.

I'm pleasantly buzzed although I do it every evening.

    2. I know several. Thing is, to a person they are all former addicts and/or alcoholics, so I got the feeling they were justifying their drug use.

I just started my CBD oil and topical cream. I hope to be able to give a glowing recommendation soon, but I'm still a skeptic.

  2. I amend to note that they probably need the M.D.'s on their side, but cannot imagine some doc saying, "How was I supposed to know? Those damn ads got to me"

  3. I remember Purdue coming around to the ER residents selling Oxycontin as a safe alternative — in the mid 90's.
Don't forget the Purdue principals are mostly docs.
Purdue took a $700 mil fine back in '07

A slap on the wrist for these quasi-criminals.

Finally, here in Virginia the Medical Board is VERY strict and supportive on opioid prescribing. Good to see. I've noticed a marked difference in the last few years.

  4. I do lots of pharma shows- people have no idea how hard they target doctors, it's relentless. On the upside, most of those pharma reps attending these shows are gorgeous blondes, so at least I've got a good view from my handbasket to hell…

  5. I still ………imagine at the CAS proceedings…… A doc on the stand, Pharma Lawyer asks something like,
"So the rep was HAWT, and that's why you prescribed opiates for a sprained ankle?"
"Yes , I was out of my mind with lust and free pens!!"
