So true. "I know this is politically incorrect, but…" is unsubtle code for "I'm a sheltered, entitled person who can't be bothered to evolve. I'm about to say something that mature adults who aren't racist, or sexist or homophobic will find offensive, but I am using this conversation with you to act out my sense of entitlement and I expect you to make sure I still feel comfortable and to give me a free pass."
Some people seem to be unable to maintain their own identity without having some other group (racial or ethnic group, gays, immigrants, developmentally disabled, barber-shop quartet singers) to feel superior to by default.
And if they only wanted to sit at home and say, "Look at those lousy [whatevers], always [verb]ing their [noun]s," it wouldn't be a problem. But they want a right to say it to the faces of the [whatevers], and to their friends and family, and in blog comments. Then they get angry or claim to be victims of "political correctness" when it's pointed out that the language is hurtful.
What this guy's doing may not persuade anyone but it's a start.
That response would be appropriate for most trolls AND Donnie Drumpf.
