  1. Ok, so, I'm scrolling thorugh my tablet's mag feeds this morning, trying to wake up and…

I Wrote 150 Porno Novels in Five Years

    "EH." *scroll*

    by Robert Silverberg

    "What? Not that Robert Silverberg?"

    *reads* "OMFG – that Silverberg!"

I just found out that Robert Silverberg wrote a huge number of pulp porno novels and Algis Budrys was his editor. I don't know what to make of this information quite yet.

That it was all Harlan Ellison's idea comes as no surprise to me.

    1. From Wikipedia:

Luc Sante wrote that the novel had a "decisive influence on the stereotypical notion of bohemia" and that it "affected the habits of American youth, particularly young women, who derived from it the courage to call themselves artists and 'bachelor girls,' to smoke cigarettes and drink Chianti."

Now we know who's to blame for all of those Hipsters.
