Missed me, this time. One particularly loud cell blew through just north, I heard lots of thundering and got a couple tiny rain squalls bit then, nothin'. Some damn fine cloud formations on the backside of the line, though. Looks like Delaware and Cape May are getting hammered now. Good luck to them.
EDIT: Very hard to see in that pic, but there's a rainbow dead center, in front of the illuminated cloud deck. Not bad for a little field camera, though.
The colors and hues kept changing, minute by minute, as the sun set, The clouds turned orange and the sky deeper blue. I had to try to catch a bit of it.
There is a lot more brush clearance than usual. People always clear brush out here, and they take it seriously, but I've seen a lot more open space perimeter clearance this year. I walk my dog at our nearby lake, and it's about a mile drive to get there, and all along the way, all the open fields have about 50 feet of brush clearance along the road – I've never seen that before.

Meanwhile, out West, | it's' getting entirely too firey for my liking. | Stay safe, Westerners!

I didn't even realize there was a fire in Calabasas on Saturday.
That picture is really pretty. Those colors are unreal.

| The LA fire could have been a lot worse, apparently. | People seem to be adapting.
