    1. Ha, sadly no. They've mostly been focused on the Nice story and Turkey, but there have been little blurbs on the nightly national news leading up to the festivities (yesterday's was on security and how much the Americans love their guns). It will be interesting to see what they focus on tonight out of yesterday's crazy-fest. With the emergence of Trump, I find myself apologizing that we aren't all that nuts in the US.

  1. It just strikes me as all so pathetic. These are people of zero substance, but it doesn't seem to matter to a big swath of the American electorate.

  2. Torturer/dictator-counselor Manafort: "This is once again an example of when a woman threatens Hillary Clinton, how she seeks out to demean her and take her down. It's not going to work.”

    Yes, Hillary did it!

  3. Melania spoke fondly of how her “elegant and hard-working mother” introduced her to “fashion and beauty” and recalled her time working “in the incredible arena of fashion.” A short biography on Melania’s website emphasizes her modeling career, and her beauty, above all else. “In the words of Manolo Blahnik,” it reads, “‘She is a true beauty. She has it.’”

FFS, I like fashion (despite being aware of all of its flaws and mixed messages &etc.) and I think this is a bit much. They're just lucky that the plagiarism thing is dominating the discussion instead…
