Back in the 60's in a Navy town in California, my father tended a bar that closed at 0200 and re-opened at 0600, closed just long enough to mop up the vomit and broken glass. There was only one day you couldn't buy drinkies, and that was Election Day.
Ha…used to work w/a guy who spent much time there. Probably rougher than the SD Gaslamp Quarter was in the old days before redevelopment. The place I mentioned was the last holdout.

Move over, "Breakfast at Wimbledon." Clearly, what's been missing from my morning routine is rising early to root for far-flung futball leagues while getting my *drank* on!
