Mother Jones this month has a wonderful piece of investigative journalism about how the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (or "Fun Stuff Bureau" for short) is terribly understaffed and prohibited by law from computerizing the 2,000,000 new firearms records it receives every month. Other law enforcement agencies request data searches 370,000 times a year, and it must all be done on paper. It's like a cruel joke. This asshole

"In July 2009, he drew criticism from the Kansas Democratic Party when he suggested that President Barack Obama's mother might have aborted him if she had had access to government-paid abortion services." He seems nice!
