A focus on Clinton’s WikiLeaks e-mails is dedicated to turning away young white former supporters of Sen. Bernie Senders (I-VT); highlighting women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct is aimed at undermining her appeal with young women; and her 1996 reference to some black gang members as “superpredators” is meant to suppress the vote among African American voters.
I can't imagine that these tactics couldn't do more than pick off a few voters at the margins, certainly not enough to swing an election. They've all gotten lost in the avalanche of mistakes, gaffes and general outrage of the Trump campaign and I think attitudes are pretty much baked in now.
You know, a competent, well run campaign running this for a politically savvy charismatic demagogue could pull this off. That's what scares me.
To outsiders, the Trump campaign often appears to be powered by little more than the candidate’s impulses and Twitter feed. But after Trump locked down the GOP nomination by winning Indiana’s primary, Kushner tapped Parscale, a political novice who built web pages for the Trump family’s business and charities, to begin an ambitious digital operation fashioned around a database they named Project Alamo.
Makes you wonder if these people ever learned the actual outcome of the Battle of the Alamo. Hint: the Messicans won.
