1. I know. no one is safe. And some are far less safe than others.

I found this last night. On Facebook, if you type this into the bar at the top of the page it will tell you which of your FB friends has liked DT: My friends who like Donald J. Trump

I only keep a FB page for minor professional reasons and don't have many friends on it, and I already know the two who openly voted for Trump, but typing that in found me a third one.

I don't want to be cold to people, but these people are why he won the election.

1. The pundits are saying not to freak out, LePen not happening. But I'm not going to cling to optimism.

Also, too, looking for some advice. Headed back to see some family for Thanksgiving, flying Thurs. Should I pack my American body armor here, or can one pick that up at the airport these days?

1. See, THIS is what really needs to happen, and is what really will be the thing that can affect the change we want. The Praetorian Guard and courtiers needs to rebel. If it's only us common folk shouting and marching and blogging he can dismiss that.

1. If Rand Paul stays on the committee about this then him + all dems on the committee would be enough to block any cabinet member. Who thought we'd be hanging our hopes on Rand Paul?

2. When I think of the word "diplomat" 9udi's image isn't the first one that comes to mind.

So right on, Randy! Hold out for Jared Kushner! Or Malaria—she knows about foreign stuff.

1. If there was an anti-Trump protest blocking a major highway in rural Iowa, I think we'll have marches all over in January.

1. Yes. I think you are right. That would be beautiful if the rural Fox news listeners are blocking highways. God bless 'em.

1. Well it was a little outside a college town but it was still pretty notable that they could get together 100 people willing to stand on I-80 at night in Iowa over this.

2. In this book…
<img src="https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1463185920l/26889647.jpg"> …the author quotes Chris Jankowski, GOPer architect of the Great Gerrymander, as saying the very worst thing that could happen, the only thing that could possibly threaten the permanent GOPer majority in the House, is the election of a Republican president in 2016 who was in way over his head ("another Jimmy Carter," he says), who might screw things up so bad that the Dems could regain the House in 2018 or 2020.

Here's hoping! Also hoping that "screwing things up so bad" doesn't include nuclear war or other irredeemable screw-ups.

3. Scary hed @ |Po'o|

BUSH AIDES COULD GET DO-OVER IN TRUMP ADMINISTRATION
But some fear Trump's choice of Bush veterans could revive controversial practices like waterboarding.

"An ascendant role for, or another crack at, reestablishing the neoconservative, torture-advocating/accommodating world view is worrisome and dangerous," a senior government official with experience in both the Bush and Obama administrations told POLITICO in an email. "God help us."

Haha, torture is "controversial." Those Bush aides, always trying extra hard!

4. btw, has anyone noticed that that petition to have the electoral college electors elect Hillary is not kicking over to 4.5 million? I've refreshed it several times since two days ago and as soon as it gets close to 4.5 million the numbers drop again. I also noticed a discussion about it on Kos. I wonder if Change.org is up to bullshit or if there's some legit reason it's doing that.

Check it out yourself: https://www.change.org/p/electoral-college-electo
