Industry officials say they are unfairly being scrutinized, and say for-profit schools have expanded education opportunities to communities that wouldn't otherwise have access.
That is a load of crap: one of those for-profits set up shop just down the road from our local community college, and it preys on the students who can't get into the classes they need at the CC because the course offerings have been pared back thanks to budget cuts FFS…
No One Could Have Predicted… that the profit motive would lead to shoving most of the funds up the administrative chain while shortchanging the students and engaging in scheduling chicanery that guaranteed the greatest cost outlay and time commitment by said students.
