I bought a $120 Brother laser printer/scanner/shoe buffer at Office Depot four years ago, and just leaned last month that it would do double-sided printing.
how's the user interface? HP makes printers that print out quality stuff, but their UI gives you the feeling you own a computer to use their printer. Fuckers. I'll never buy another HP again at that rate.

My new printer is also a Brother. Looking at what was on the shelves I think double-sided printing is a signature feature of sorts of Brother's. I also like that the toner cartridge and the drum are separate replaceable units.
Tempted to print a book if binding weren't such a hassle.
My personal opinion is that if needing to be part of a (class action) lawsuit to get a known defective part replaced (they knew before nVidia's own shareholders did!) is HP's definition of "customer service" then HP really doesn't need any more of my money. So I haven't touched anything with their logo on it in over a decade.
I know, I know. Had to download half a gig of data to install an HP printer. With the Brother you can just use the Windows driver and it's very straightforward. But it wouldn't let me do the double-sided thing, which I learned about from La_signora_Quarantanova's Mac, which I believe insisted on the ugly, silly Brother interface.
Oh and BTW, at one point in time the "print engine" in HP printers was made by Brother, and that could still be true.
Oh and another thing: the all-in-one (HL-2280DW) has ethernet and wifi interfaces. When I changed cable modems and had to call Brother tech support, I learned that the printer also has its own router built in, just in case you don't have one. And I haven't had better tech support since WordPerfect.
BTW, for an added bonus, imagine the "beating the shit out of the printer/fax" scene in Office Space is done on an HP device. Gives me a warm fuzzy every time.
