I spent the pre-march part of my day in Paris visiting Le Petit Palace. It was a palace, although today it functions as a fine arts museum (and admission is completely free!). The building is gorgeous, and they have some nice furniture pieces too. There is a bit of gilding, but it manages to be integral and beautiful and proportionate to the application. Idiot TehRump could learn a thing or two from those that did it first and did it far better. But nah, that requires an appreciation and classical education that he is simply incapable of absorbing.
If that bust of Churchill could speak, what would he say?

And he gave us so many reasons to expect better of him.
I don't think I've seen that in IKEA's catalog.
