This just shows how inexperienced and unprepared this group really is. Add in Trump’s narcissism and you get this response. Spicer lying about crowd size really isn’t any more brazen than Paul Ryan saying the ACA is in a death spiral. It’s just that you are allowed to lie openly about policy, but not about small things. Trump can get away talking about protecting the middle class while raising their mortgages on his first day in office. He can’t get away with crowd size because that fact really doesn’t matter.
