Does Trump think he's going to become any more popular after years of smashing America off the lone postwar superpower pedestal, does he think there will be that many more Nazis voting or was this just one more of those papers Bannon threw on top of the stack on his desk for him to sign?
Or he quits because he's tired of actually having to, you know, govern and it's not at all like he saw it in the movies. either way is fine with me. As long as he takes Bannon with him.
So I just had a conversation about politics with a new friend of mine and he's a fucking trump supporter and I just feel like I got hit by a ton of bricks
I'm realizing that I honestly need to decide on some brave strategy for dealing with these Trump supporters. I need to find an adult way to put them on the spot and make them feel shame in the moment when they say they voted for Trump in light of what is happening now. These people say what they say with the implied expectation that they will be responded to either with polite coddling or irrational anger. I need to find a path forward to say that thing that will be reality-based and shame them. I do not know what it is yet, but I have those people in my own life and it is time for me to step up.
I have no idea because this guy is way far gone. Like he seemed fine and today he was alt-right, celebrating everything Trump's done, Holocaust denier-level asshole.
You have my sympathies. It's probably due in part to your location, since the culture there is so mindlessly "traditional," *cough* racist *cough* patriarchal *cough* retrograde *cough* and you are probably right in that the only thing you can do is create distance. I used to work remotely with some people who were in the Cincinnati area, they were perfectly charming on the surface, but under the charm they were mostly very Christianist and the scary part were the ones who were quietly white nationalist.
I'm hoping President Vomitmort will alienate many of his supporters one of these days, then we can ask them how it feels to be duped by a slick New Yorker and the Russkies.
I've already seen pro-Trump PAC ads around here.
This is fucking insane. He doesn't want to govern, he wants to campaign.
Time to chuck it in and go shoe shopping.
TV I take it?
Yeah, pretty nasty ad too.
hwow
BTW, I'm using your "alt-hugged" line elsewhere and folks love it. I give you full credit.

He's just drunk on power, like a howler monkey finding fermented berries.
I hope he gets a 4-year long case of the runs.
Here's hoping they 25th Amendment him before that.

Perhaps we should give cannibalism a second look.
Like a lot of dishes, it's better the second day.
I would kind of think, with the shortage of brains in this country, the Zombie Outbreak Index would be lower…
I expect Republicans are rather gamey. We're gonna need a lot of curry.
Would you favor a lot of curry, or curry a lot of favor?
Let's be sure to check on the herd next Sunday at the

What is wrong with people?! I'm so sorry.

As someone who grew up in NJ, and I'm sure C_R will agree, there is nothing slick about Trump, only slimy.
