Yeah. I bought one last spring, and gave it away on Thanksgiving. I've got enough instruments I can't play for shit, I don't want any of them to also cause physical pain.
I played violin for a long time, so I thought a mando would be a slam dunk. I failed to take into account all the years of abuse to the various parts of my body, mostly my arthritic fingers and sound-deadened ears. I still pick up a guitar, the bass or a ouke and plonk around, but not when anyone else might hear it.
Mine's a newer model AB60CE. The Baggs pickup is decent, but sometimes it fails to make contact with the bridge and kills whatever string, usually the "E". No "E", no bottom. Just gotta take it off and sand the bridge flat again.
This must be what that Kansas guy was talking about when he said pr0n could cause erectile dysfunction.
Uncanny Valley Girl
If the MRA crowd gets these, will they finally STFU and stay in their bunks? If so, I'm all for this.

[ am looking for the origin of the phrase ]
OK . So maybe it refers to the 'fallen angel ' of myth, bit did Amos Easton coin ' strange angel'?

I've made some satisfying mandolin progress over the past two years. Granted, it sat in a closet collecting dust and rust for 5 years before that…

No charge. Am off on an internet journey.
You gonna tell us how that bridge in Georgia fall down?
Was cruising the pawn shops the other day and almost spent $60 of beer money on a used one of these

Only had six strings and tuners on it. Looked not warped.
You should go back and get it. I'll give you $75.
Rescuing a fine guitar in distress would be an act of charity, and therefore tax deductible.
Plus shipping?
12 string acoustics are brutal on your fingers. I haz none experience with electrics, but a Rickenbacker 360 should be on everybody's list.
Is NM considered international?
Hell, it's interplanetary.
Cost as much to ship.
Did you get that bass from Rayth dude?
Yeah, well skip it then.
Not yet, still waiting to see it. Also an Alvarez, and from what I've read is one of three or so models that's worth considering.
I have a Chinese Alvarez acoustic/electric bass. Surpisingly good quality and tone, even with 10 or 15 year-old strings.
My friend is trying to part with a 1994 model 4070. He says the electronics need work, which is fine as long as the luthierism is in good shape.

No puppet, no puppet! You're the puppet!
