Yeah, pretty much this. Those "Wither the Trump Voter" columns are all a waste of my time and I haven't read a single one of them.
I think we all know what will happen. When he fails – maybe one too many times, maybe one huge unforgivable thing – and becomes in their minds a weakling and a Loser, then they will turn. They get all their vicarious Hippie-Punching Thrills right through him and they love his tough guy bully act. They'll turn on him like wild pigs as soon as that act fails. And it will.
