Tropical Depression 13 has formed in the SW Gulf of Mexico, because of course it has. Expected to meander down there and become Tropical Storm Katia soon.
We could use the water vapor resonance at 183 GHz and excite the clouds directly. We'll get natural beam-narrowing from the shorter wavelength, and it's barely detectable on the ground.
I'm glad we have the security of this vault-type room, where there's no chance anyone will ever read it.

Update: Winds now up to 185 mph. We're in incredibly rare territory here. This is only the 5th recorded Atlantic hurricane to do so.
