Must say the Seattle PI has perfected its anti-ad-blocking software countermeasures to such a degree that the article is unreadable. tronc publications (soon-to-disappear San Diego Union-Tribune, LA Times, Baltimore Sun, Chicago Tribune and many smaller sheets) have lead the charge on this front.
Anyway it's becoming clear that the last retail outlets standing will be hair, nail and beauty salons and the bank branches with 30-year leases.
I've just about given up on the LA Times. I still like Michael Hiltzik's and Robin Abcarian's columns, but otherwise it just isn't worth it. Who the fuck decided that two pop-up ads per article would be a good idea FFS?
