  1. Filling in for someone at work, and then I've got an afternoon thing to go to, but I'll check in for the night game. You kids have fun!

      1. Thanks…I'm glad I'll be working on Thursday night so that I don't have to watch my team give the hated Ravens their first win.

  2. Hi can someone advise on who to move where? Weejee is still on his trip so I have to make these changes in his stead. It's telling me to move:
    Russell Wilson, Sea QB
    Eddie Lacy, GB RB
    Jarvis Landry, Mia WR

I don't seem to have any options on my bench that will work, so if someone can advise I'd much appreciate it!

    1. Why do you need to move any of those? I mean Wilson and Lacy could be in your active QB and RB slots that you don't have filled, but otherwise I'm kind of confused on what you're trying to do.

      1. Are they OK to keep where they are? The action column says "move." If that's just telling me that it's an option to move them, then I guess I don't need to do anything after all? It's been so long since I looked at this stuff, maybe I'm confused.

        1. That just means you can move them, not that you have to. You should probably fill up your active QB and RB slot again, but you seem to be fine other than that.

          1. OK tx. Can you look at it again, make sure it looks OK? I filled them back up, but prob should have you confirm.

          2. no one to really move- it's Lacy or nobody and everyone else is pretty well locked. I'd bump a couple guys to IR once we're through this week's cycle to free up roster space, but it's pretty well in autopilot mode at this point

          3. When I looked there was nobody in the QB and RB slots, probably because Close Read thought the move button meant you had to move them. Just some confusion on that end is all. Though I'd agree on the IR move on Tuesday, as someone who ran out of room on IR already.

  3. Made it home for the second halves. Love this PIP. Glad I live alone because I would be annoying to any other human, flipping between the Eagles and the Steelers games.

  4. Warning to other people: Don't overthink it. I tried to get cute and pick Tyler Eifert against the Ravens because he started the season hot, but he's been awful, and I missed an obvious Greg Olsen play against a bad team and he has over 30 on my bench.

    1. Eli killed me the other night- decided to pass to Randle all night instead of Odell. And Dalton exploded for 35 points- whodathunk?

      1. Passing seems so hit-or-miss in fantasy, it's crazy. I'm glad Mountain Dew had Devonta Freeman on the bench instead of active, that's a 43-point performance I didn't have to worry about.

      1. It's the Delaware Water Gap, between NJ and PA on I-80. It really is a pretty drive. I can't wait until the leaves change more.

        1. I haven't actually been on that road. 78 is the normal way from here to north Jersey, and I'd stay all the way up on 84 if going to New England for obvious reasons.

  5. Okay full disclosure-wise I don't follow this stuff, but I just walked down to my local greasy-spoon for lunch and of course got plenty of exposure to today's foot-the-ball offerings.

I was happy to see an IBEW advertisement near the end of one game. It even highlighted work on residential solar installations. I thought that was pretty cool, but that is me just being characteristically divisive again of course.

  6. Ugh…got back early from my afternoon thing to see that one knee will fuck up both my real team* and my fantasy team. #bitchmoangrumble #fuckmyfootballlife #letsgobucs

    * Yes, as pissed as I am at the powers that be over Michael Vick, I can't root against them. Genetic roots run deep I guess…

  7. Aw crap, my Pirates are on Sunday Night Baseball? Guess I'll be toggling between ESPN and NBC tonight…

…and dear God, please don't let my Bucs get another injury FFS…

    1. Hey. Ya know it's one thing for Phx./Tuc to be humping 100° at the end of Sept.; but ya think you could talk your cousin dewpoint down outta the 50's?

      TYIA.

          1. I'm doing the VIP party for the Fox Theater fundraiser- at the courthouse courtyard across the street. I'll be at Rillito for both Nam Jam and Blues. Are you coming down this year?

          2. Probably just go for Eddie.
Too many people at Nam Jams think they remember me . [ just missed – 1973 ]
