So, just in time for Bye Weeks to commence (and, reminder, Titans and Patriots have byes this week), now the weather is making the NFL consider cancelling Philadelphia-Washington game in DC on Sunday if the storm is bad enough, which would move those teams' byes from Week 8 to Week 4 (aka This Week). So, if you have players on either of those teams, you may want to plan accordingly for a quick swap on Sunday morning (so, your subs can't have already played tonight, unless you go ahead and sub today.) Clear as the roiled mud of the Atlantic, right?
Anyway, good luck, and I will try to post the football thingies assuming I am far enough inland now to continue to have electricity all weekend.
This doesn't affect my shit team, but I sure hope this thing fizzles out and/or drifts out to sea. It looks like the east coast has had enough fucking rain already.
2. A strong majority of the forecast models are now in agreement on
a track farther away from the United States east coast. We are
becoming optimistic that the Carolinas and the mid-Atlantic states
will avoid the direct effects from Joaquin. However, we cannot yet
completely rule out direct impacts along on the east coast, and
residents there should continue to follow the progress of Joaquin
over the next couple of days.
Cool! My understanding is that even without Joaquin hitting, we're in for a bunch of rain, though (which has already started).
Yeah, flooding could still be a problem, but that's a lot better than what we expected yesterday.
Could you send some of that to the left coast?
I wish, I mean the east coast really badly needs rain but this is way too much at once.
Stickying this since it's 40 minutes until the game. Baltimore-Pittsburgh with neither team on my fantasy match-up with anyone playing means I may not pay very close attention, but I'll hang around.

Also this thing keeps going southwest, tropical storm warnings for Cuba and a gust to 55 mph at Guantanamo, wtf? It's going farther south and is much larger than expected.
0Z GFS model just came out and it's like 350 miles northwest of its 18z run, just barely pushing Joaquin to the southeast of New England. Large shift shows we really still need to pay attention.
Thing I will probably never get used to about switching from having NYC and Philly stations to having Wilkes-Berry/Scranton/Bumfuck stations: constant ads for guns and rifles, especially during The Daily Show.
