I know this is already on the FP but there's so much delicious derp baked into the fact that Ryan will be speaker that it seems fitting we mark the occasion here also, too.
Facebook COO and perpetual self-promotion machine Sheryl Sandberg has picked an odd choice for today’s “Lean In Award,” an imaginary honor she presents via Facebook: Paul Ryan. The same Paul Ryan who opposes, over and over again, workplace equality for women.
I know this is already on the FP but there's so much delicious derp baked into the fact that Ryan will be speaker that it seems fitting we mark the occasion here also, too.
Here's Paul, in happier times, sharing a tender moment with Grover Norquist:

He also must look back fondly on his first appearance as the VP-nominee with Mitt Romney:

He's going to need to have eyes in the back of his head now…

He'll have to be cleverer than his enemies to avoid their traps.

In this newly created tradition, revelers gather together and make their own spreadsheets with randomly generated numbers.

Then they'll really whoop it up sharing their favorite Ayn Rand ideas to Make America Great Again.
RIP Ryan's presidential chances forever
Silver lining!
Wait, what the fuck now, link within link?
Oh, for fuck's sake.
Sheryl Sandberg may have some backpedaling to do in her near future.
"perpetual self-promotion machine"
That's a description we should use often.
