I hear you. At least Grimes and Beshear are looking good, but this is still a move in the direction of Kansas.
Now the entertainment is is waiting to see how the Governor-elect will adjust to life in the government. He will have plenty of fellow-travelers in other branches of the state government, but that could be a mixed blessing.
EDIT — Decent report soon after the determination: here
There's a place outside Lexington called "The Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill" where you can actually spend a night or two in old Shaker buildings. Lots of beautiful Federal Style structures from the early 1800s are beautifully preserved, along with the landscape have been restored, and interpretive craftsmen and women demonstrate the way of life. These collectivists invented the circular saw and the flat broom, and built some of the most beautiful furniture you've ever seen: austere, functional, crafted with the greatest sensitivity for what wood can and can't do.
The term "Shaker" was a play on "Shaking Quaker" because the only real expression they allowed themselves was in the religious services they conducted, but they adopted the name themselves much as Bamz came to accept Obamacare. Oh and they never had sex because they thought the end was near, so why bother? Their recruits came from orphanages in big cities.
I'm just bringing this up because it's one very nice thing about Kentucky. Also the Seelbach Hotel in Louisville, where several scenes in the movie "The Hustler" were filmed.
Jesus, once again the idiots vote to cut their own throats- after a certain point you can't even feel sorry for them anymore

"PERVERTED", "TWISTED", and "CRIPPLED"
RIP what's left of Kentucky's sanity
