You'll have to indulge me on this one, because I am over the fucking moon about this!
Still a long way to go, but over the past 25 years we've had:
one previous owner stole our ground,
tried merge our club with another one,
then tried to move us to Ireland,
before giving up and selling to a pair of Norwegian billionaires
who couldn't (wouldn't) fund a new stadium,
instead engineered a Baltimore Colts/Cleveland Browns type move to a new city
sent the new chairman OF THE FOOTBALL CLUB into a local residents meeting to teach them how to resist the club "trying" to move back into the area
So we got shafted by the FA, lost our club, and got told not to even think about starting again.
But we did it anyway, started from the bottom and worked our way back up the 'football pyramid' (I appreciate you guys don't 'do' promotion and relegation), found and bought a stadium nearby, funded improvements, looked for a permanent home in our part of the city…until this.
A few thousand fans and a lot of hard work went into this and I just wanted to share it
