I agree with you, but practicing shouldn’t excuse someone from paying dues, either.
It really does help with the bookkeeping.
Austin has issued 18 marriage licenses today and I'm sure Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio will too. I live in the county just north of Austin and they originally said they wouldn't issue any licenses, gay or straight. Then they decided they would issue straight only.
Six o'clock Austin news reports over 180 couples to get married, city office still open. Parts of 4th Street will be closed off for a party. Should be a typical Austin hoot.
I rejoice that I now live in a country where all people can deal with their parents using every holiday as an opportunity to nag them about getting married. Truly the best of times.
This is good news for my eldest grandbaby, even though she has no immediate plans. Also and too, she's 24. Although here it was already legal before the SCOTUS ruling, it very nice that now it's legal coast-to-freakin'-coast!
That not surprising considering the Tejas AG is a poopyhead.
And, hey, poopyheads need to do poopyheaded things every so often or their membership cards lapse.
Is it kind of a "license to practice" kind of thing?
wishing more insight, understanding and love of one another for us all
Well, just paying dues isn't enough. Actions speak louder than words.

I am impressed with the Austin powers.

This is GOOD NEWS for Karen.
There is no assault on family values, or your dictionary, folks.

TRUE EQUALITY OF… oh, crap.
Congrats and condolences, hon.
Way better than my girlfriend's parents, though, who are extremely far-right and basically disowned her!
Aw, that sucks. Maybe they'll come around, who knows. (Probably not, but at least you can hate your future in-laws for totally unassailable reasons.)
Yay!
Congrats from the broiling Northwest.
Nothing will better prepare you for The World than realizing your parents are lost causes and will never in any capacity "be there for you".®
If if make you feel any better, there are plenty of parents of straight girls I've dated who were psycho nutcases as well :/
Yeah, crazy doesn't seem to really have social limits in a lot of cases. Guess we can just make the best of it.
edit "If it", not "If if". I'd rather fall on my own sword than have Blue run me through.
Pics?
uh, well, uh…
Especially in Ohio where it's legal for the first time! Big lines in some areas to get married and they're not actually being as bad as Texas.
Yay Ohio!
Yay-Hio? thought I'd never say that, ever.
Congrats, Karen!
I believe Chrissie Hynde taught us that the proper phrase is, "Hey, ho, way to go, Ohio." Then a guitar thing.
I'm okay with anything that's not our state's awful form of Hang On Sloopy.
Hmm, well, we'll pretend Chrissy wasn't being sarcastic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wplUBFVsbtw
Chrissie taught a lot..
I still don't know what that achievement was. So unreal.
Great mondegreen: standin' in the middle of life with my pants behind me.. Oh to be 33 again.
Brass for me meant brass balls, not money. Fingers were, you know, fingers. lol
Thanks! So glad the wait is finally over!
The Tejas AG and some Tejas counties should be put in time out.
