I love the concept of electric and hybrids. I'm outside the range for an EV, but a hybrid could work. I have this thing against 4-door cars. I do wish Tesla still made the Lotus Elise EV, and that I could afford one.
I know, I'm a bad hippie. Part of it goes back to my days of driving junkers, always had to have a spare. I've always needed a truck because of my trade, but a coupe for a backup made sense. Now I don't work but I still need the truck for home improvements and to pull the 5th wheel. For a retirement present to myself I got a totally bitchin' Shelby, which stays in the garage most of the time. I've also always been a biker, so a motorcycle is necessary. To help offset my guilt, I also have a 100mpg scooter. I'm in the beginning stages of paring down the collection.
You can only redeem yourself with a three on the tree. Please tell me you have one.
Not presently, but I've had my share/fill of them in the past.
Had the pickup version of this for a few years, and it had three-on-the-tree. More fun than you'd think!
If you live where electricity is made by burning coal, your Tesla is a coal-fired automobile.
I'll be very happy when I convert my old style VW Beetle to electric.
All these new cars. Ms weej ^& I like to by dealer demos with full "new" warranties and then drive 'em 'til the doors falloff. With our office being just two blocks from our house, we don't pile-up the miles. Our newest is a '98. Our oldest is a bit more in the mold of Biff's Shelby…
Our steering wheel on the '68 Morgan +8 is still on the proper side. Have to shift with your left hand, but the clutch, brake, and go pedal are all in the usual spots (thank goodness for that!).
Of course you got the Morgan for its corrosion-proof ash frame.
Absolutely! Typo above – it's a '68 not '98 sitting on the standard +4 frame. Frame re-built up a gauge with doubler plates where the aft engine/tranny cross piece is to keep the olde Buick/Olds aluminum V8 from tearing the new frame apart like it did with the olde one from the Works.

The greatest obstacles are in the mind.
Still, more cars is not the answer.
I know! Damn, I already have four motor vehicles. Good thing I can only operate one at a time!
4? I'm happy to have a '02 Mazda Protege that I've had since 2007– regular oil changes, new tires, and a timing belt/water pump.. It's the cat's ass.

Sweet! Mine is a modern Shelby. Only four of this model built, and mine's the only ragtop:

Awesome!
That BOP V-8 had more lives than John Connally. Reduce, re-use, recycle!
