  1. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what happens when you raise a generation to believe that there are no bad ideas and that everyone’s opinion should be considered.

    COTD

  2. Any celestial body that can not be observed with a telescope located ON Earth, is fake.

I've certainly never seen Pluto! Or Neptune! Probably not even Uranus! Of course, I'm not really sure how any of this affects me personally outside of my horoscope (which is totally legit!).

Meanwhile, I've seen Vespa, so asteroids are real. My personal jury is still out on Ceres though, so I'm wary of Dawn.

  3. "I didn't look up what kind of telescope it was"

Don't work too hard, doofus. You do realize you can change the magnification of your scope with different eyepieces? You are aware your 8" Celestron is about an f/10? You think maybe (maybe?) their scope has a bit faster f/ratio to catch all that dim light from Pluto, and this would result in a lower magnification, but no prob since they're going to fly right by the fucking planet?

Get out of your backyard some time (or not).
