I saved a snake from my pool a couple nights ago. It was in good shape, but it was too small to get out. It fell in while we were swimming and it's a good thing we were there because the hound would've eaten it.
Ew! Few things unnerve me more than snakes in the swimming pool! I just can't do it, some evolutionary thing, I suppose. And the fire dept won't come unless it's a rattler, so I have to cajole my neighbor into fishing it out, and I doubt he likes it any better than me.
lol, my brother freaks out about them too. This was just a tiny little thing, maybe 7-8 inches long and less than the diameter of my pinkie. My biggest concern was not hurting it.
