Thanks for putting this up, Cmdr. I am still at my aunt & uncle, where sports are not allowed and I will eventually be forced to watch every episode of Big Bang Theory (fingers crossed, I've found a place and will be in there in less than 2 weeks).
That's cruel and unusual punishment. They'd have no case.
2 Broke girls, 1 cup
We are now watching a very long episode of Ken Burns' Civil War, which I have already seen. My uncle is now telling me about meeting Shelby Foote. Please send help.
Maybe everybody here already knows this, but Where Men Win Glory by Jon Krakauer gives a more engaging and believable portrait of the life of an NFL player than anything else I've ever read. Pat Tillman was no ordinary sportsballer, which is what makes it so good.
He really is good at non-fiction. I need to read his book about mountain climbing (Into Thin Air). But, seriously, his latest one about campus rape is really well done.
Wish I could have watched but it was a long day and not a particularly pleasant one at all so I really couldn't. Should be able to make it on Sunday though, especially later in the day. Too bad the Patriots won, especially with the… um… questionable radio problems the Steelers had. Glad that the gamble on taking DeAngelo Williams late to get a couple of good games in actually worked though.
FLEENER!!!!
Minnesota 10-6* (GROTESQUE HOMER ALERT)
HAHAHAHAHA!! I laugh with Drew Magary on this one.

No problem. Big Bang Theory?! Yikes. I hope you find a place soon. At least your fellow Edelman is having a good game. I hope everything is ok.
Oh, yes, fine. Though, as I told Vodka, if they make me watch 2 Broke Girls, I will need you all to testify at my trial.

We are there with you in spirit, sister.
|Lucky for you that I peeked in|

I just read Missoula, which will rip your heart out.
Under the Banner of Heaven, about Mormon fundamentalists, is pretty good too. I think Krakauer was raised as a Mormon.

Into Thin Air is good. Save it for a couple of cold winter days.
eta : Or one. I think I read it in one long day, it's that engrossing.
Poor Callyson, the Steelers look all sorts of out of it.
Damn–way back when, the ball and the balls had to cross the plane. I hate that shit. Sorry, Cally and Pitt.
it's the Patriot Way™
Good news is- the Steelers decided to show up for the 2nd half
(edit: nevermind)
This fucking pity TD at the end is such a Patriots move.
The NFC North, where men are men and aren't afraid to drink till they ouke…

Goldern Foreigners, mucking up our stadium with their Illinois and Minnesota puke.
and fighting, also too! The Lions are a bunch of wussies, can't hang with the big boys (sorry Vodka)
Lions are that slightly slow cousin that you let win at Candyland during visits at Thanksgiving. They are adorable.
You're terrible.
Oh, sure. It's always the outsiders causing trouble.
Outside agitators! False flag!
Who supplies the brandy?!

Who doesn't?!?
I love that Zambonis apparently have a special seat for a passenger just to sit and wave and look pretty.
Three TDs for the Gronk and Breydee passing for one other. I'm guessing that is good for the Ebola Jihadis. Still not sure how all this works.
Fantasy foo-ball works in a very strange way.. You will probably beat all of us because of the Robbing of Seattle last year. (really, just awful.)
Well, that sucked.
Sunday should be better. Or not. Let's pretend it will be.
Right on, right on.

Sensible woman, playing a gentleperson's game rather than its idiot bastard son.
Is it League or Union rules?
