Yes, and while our barely-competent political leaders throw punches at each other, can't agree on how or whether to keep the government open, generally trip over themselves and fiddle ♪BENGHAZI♪ the world is, in fact, actually burning.
There's a few prelim studies that indicate there's already a natural selection process underway to more heat tolerant corals/symbiotic algae. There's no doubt that we're in the midst of a sixth great worldwide extinction event. Things will evolve to fill those newly emptied ecological niches. We may not like what it is that arises, though.
Also, it's not outside the realm of possibility that the civilized Homo sapiens sapiens niche will become vacated. Not at all.
…and the Earth's climate is always changing, it's not our fault and anyway it's too late/expensive/inconvenient to do anything about it anyway so it's all good.

I want to make an angry post but I got distracted by this headline on the right side of the linked page:
Kiszla: Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning is a fainting goat
Same, but the headline that distracted me was:
Topless women question weighed by Fort Collins City Council
What was the question again?
.
Fingers crossed a few corals have the chance to adapt and survive before these bleach-outs become a more regular and semi-permanent occurrence.

I would love being reincarnated/helping to feed a new-and-improved coral reef, but it's a PITFA getting permission to be buried at sea.
I'm working on it, though…
Protip: Cremains + concrete Reef Ball = instant substrate.
Don't ask.
Ooh! Great idea (as a decent compromise) thanks!
Yr. Welcome!
Remember, it snowed somewhere in Alaska in February, therefore the climate isn't changing!
