    1. Dallas Raines and Bri Winkler? Really?

Light rain since about 3:00 AM here in San Diego. Not yet approaching frog-strangler proportions.

          1. If it's anything like what's rolling through here, it will just pour and pour for several hours. It's still pouring here and I've been watching it come down since about 5:30.

    2. It's going to be a bad El Nino but to be honest it's exactly what California needs right now. There's going to be some damage but that drought needs to get chipped away at and this is how California is able to do it.

          1. Thank you for posting that. Isn't that the most wonderful thing ever made by anyone, ever? #HAPPY

        1. That's got a Sinatra vibe that I'm guessing was deliberate? Very stylish. Also so charming to my tin American ear, "Or three and tuppence for twenty."

  1. My two dogs HATE this–the smaller one would NOT go at all. I know we need the rain, but FFS, can't it come at a reasonable pace? #bitchmoangrumble

    1. Mine wants out to do her business, but when I let her out she just stands looking at me, like: "Please fix this."

Also, I just found a massive poop dump in a cat bed, I suspect it's my male cat, though, the turds are too big for the dog. (the cat is 16 pounds)

Cally, this will be our life for the next few weeks. #LeSigh.

  2. This El Nino is now tied for the strongest on record, if you were wondering. Expect this kind of thing a lot this winter.

    1. our local weather babe is saying that Tucson will receive our normal rainfall for the month in the next few days

  3. Work schedule for week of Jan 5-9:
    Order scaffold
Tear off tree-damaged portion of roof, beams and fascia
Mill T&G to match existing roof sheathing
    Replace sheathing, beams, fascia
    Install new comp roofing

    Alternate schedule:
    Drink coffee
    Order pizza

  4. Tucson got .30 yesterday. SUNny now, so I'm happy. Waiting for the next wave tonight. If it's like this all week I can deal.

  5. It would be a bit more tolerable if it hadn't been shorts weather here two weeks ago. Normally your body has months to adjust to lower temps and stocking the sweater shelf.

  6. Urgh, it rained All. Last. Week. 3" plus, Christmas through New Year's Eve, 58 degrees, dense fog and totally humid. Awful. Now, at least the mud's gone solid, but I forgot and went outside with a wet head early this AM and my hair froze. Good times.

If this keeps up there's gonna be | six holes in my freezer. |
