PORTLAND, Ore. — With the armed takeover of a national wildlife refuge in southeastern Oregon in its third week, Ammon Bundy and his group are still trying to muster up broad community support – so far without much luck.
Man, if you can't persuade people by bringing a clown circus to town armed with crackpot legal theories and assault rifles just what do you need to do?
Ram's Horn's – yr doin it rong. At least it's not bagpipes.
I'm thinking that the Feds decided early on just to step back and let these guys embarrass themselves into irrelevance.
A MØØSE BIT MY HØVERCRAFT ØNCE… This one worries me. I can see Rogers taking this to promote some screwy legal theory that results in Federal Fish & Wildlife officers not having any enforcement jurisdicaion over huge swathes of America. Because freedom, or something.
Also, bushwacking in a hovercraft? I can think of more miserable ways to travel, but not many.
Speaking of bagpipes, I had a Shark Tank inspiration — combine e-cigarettes with a bagpipe-like contraption. Hipsters would be all over it, we could make a mint. Bagvapes (TM)
On Monday night, Bundy held a meeting at a hot springs resort near Crane, Ore., where he tried to persuade 30 or so ranchers to stop paying the federal government to graze their cattle on public lands. It does not appear he persuaded many to follow his advice…
Bundy's most fervent supporters – those holed up inside headquarters of the wildlife refuge – continue to be militants from outside Oregon. Bundy has demanded federal lands in Harney County be handed over to locals. While many local residents want Bundy and his group to leave, they also back his views on federal land policies. Bundy's game plan may be to continue to try to win local support and to draw as much attention as possible to his complaints against the federal government.
Another way of looking at it — each time you visit such a site and don't patronize the advertisers, you've caused them to put out money and get no return. With or without adblock. I noticed that Forbes, for example, will block access to articles for people who use Adblock. Other sites beg you please to not use Adblock. Everyone else's metrics are gonna be all skewed by clicks/eyeballs that do not participate in the advertising process.

Alaska may need to renegotiate its position vis a vis fed subsidies. Too early to call Sturgeon v Tyranny

And another, a red goat, went out; and to him who sat on it, it was granted to take resources from the federal government

To each his own form of culturejamming.
Absolutely, if for no other reason than this gem:
Bulgakov’s funny and enigmatic novel about the Devil visiting Moscow with his retinue (complete with a giant cat!) during the Great Purge of 1937
I've never had a problem (though I usually have to wait for the annoying "Quote of the Day" to go away first. Dafuq?
