Yeah, I dunno about them specifically , but back in olden times, WaPo did one of these 'raised eyebrows' pieces on treehug.org that ended up in Capitol Hill hearings, but nothing else came of it. In fact, that org. may have been the 'entrepreneurial' model for future orgs. They paid top people relatively big money, and they/we associated with some unsavory people [<cough> Henry Paulson <cough>]. It sure was annoying to we grunts, but I never thought it was a grift or scandalous, even though eventually I personally couldn't deal with it any more. They still do tremendous work.
I'm just saying pause for a minute before you get depressed.
