When Cruz mocks some environmental protesters who briefly interrupt him, the man sitting directly behind me yells with unsuppressed fury, “They’re Bolsheviks!”
Easy. Order some red chili powder from New Mexico and make it, and realize that people in New Mexico are a million times more used to heat than you are.
A little. Are you looking to light yourself on fire as well?
Not out to hurt myself, but like a little heat on occasion.
Honestly, don't know what you bought , but even 'HAWT ' labeled chili powder from AZ/NM is not that hot.
Tasty though.
It tasted good but I'd argue that it is that hot! But you're from Arizona if I remember right so maybe you're a lot less affected.
you do get used to the heat living here
I was here less than 24 hours and had my first Whataburger with jalapenos. Thought I was gonna die.
If you can find a Sonic Drive-in their Jalapeno Double Cheeseburgers (No. 4 on the menu) are pretty good. It's gotten to where a full-blown, go-to-hell burger even at a fast food joint is over $10! Whataburger's double meat, double cheese with jalapenos and bacon (with large onion rings & drink) is almost a Franklin.
I now worship at Five Guys, when the burger spirit is guiding me [and providing funds].
Awww, they have fresh raw jalapenos, which are far superior to the pickled kind to my thinking. And those huge bags of fries.
Yeah, large fries suddenly had different implications.
Been here a while, but still from Cleveland, remember.
Sis visiting here thinks I require heat in everything now days, but that's not true. Am still perfectly capable of eating meatloaf and mashed potatoes without chili. On the other hand, I reminded her that we sometimes had horseradish that grandma grew in her garden. If you've never had it [fairly ] raw , and fresh, lemme tell ya , it'll easily bring tears too.
At my favorite New Mexican place here I always order a side of hatch (regardless if what I order has actual hatch chiles in it.. can't get enough of 'em!)
For economic policy, Cruz has a plan to turbocharge the American economy. It seems to go something like this:
Repeal Obamacare
Institute a flat tax on all personal and business income
Economic growth!!!!!
There was a Twitter tag called #RomneyShambles, around the time the Romney-Ryan campaign was auguring in. I think it's gone now but it veered into wonderfully Lovecraftian-apocalypse territory. I can't wait to put one together for Cruz.
Is that one of those fantastic Chick cartoon tracts? It seems whenever I was tripping and doing laundry during my college years was when I would find one of those in the laundromat.
I ran across those in a Christian bookstore when I was in college. Mesmerizing. There was one about how horrible the Catholic church is, describing how monasteries and convents would supposedly be put next to each other, connected by secret tunnels, and inside the tunnels, there were graves of… aborted fetuses and murdered babies!!!
So if the GOP has a brokered convention, how fun do you think it'll be? The chaos would be magical.
Please god, let this happen.

Haha, my neighbors.
If the Cruzers knew Gary was a Wonker in a previous life they might have impaled him.
OT: Just had Carne Adovada. Did not realize that New Mexicans lit themselves on fire for fun.
Where did you find that in Ohio?

Is there any left over?

It was hilarious/sick/creepy/pornographic.
Not an actual Chick Tract, but | a clever simulation, | and one that has become a favored Meme 'round these parts.
I'm getting a 404 error Even when I do a search and then click the linky. Has the article been pulled?
