  1. To convince the high court to temporarily halt the plan, opponents had to convince the justices that there was a “fair prospect” the court would strike down the rule. The court also had to consider whether denying a stay would cause irreparable harm to the states and utility companies affected.

    Oh, can't cost the Utilities or states money. Only the fate of the world at stake. GOD FUCKING DAMMIT

  2. One of the genius parts of NEPA was that it did not allow you to consider costs of alternatives. That idea's under assault now. Polluting is always cheaper in the short run.
