    1. Just comment on anything. The wordpress spam algorithm is set for 3 comments. It's not foolproof (I still have to approve my own posts from time to time), but usually third time's a charm.

    2. I mostly post from work. My home computer is not logged into debate though, but I do post articles from there sometimes.

Also I would be a terrible Mod, I would just follow people around correcting them on proper use of "cunt" and Anne Coulter jokes.

      1. I have plenty of comments on ID from back when that was what we used. And we liked it! (not really disqus is way better)

  1. It really is terrible. It seems like the only thing they care about is teaching them to bust heads and make arrests, no time for other important stuff like first aid, or learning a little discretion and gun safety…

  2. It's actually worse than this story says, Gothamist has been following the story pretty closely (unlike major media)

The guy and his partner, also a rookie, were patrolling a building (first question, how is that legal? It's part of the broken windows shit and still happens) which had no lights (still doesn't according to the residents) with their guns out. Liang refused the lawyer the Union wanted to give him because he would have been made to plead guilty and take a deal.

The Asian community has pointed out, quite rightly, that if he was white he would be protected by the blue wall of silence. His partner is. He took an immunity deal to testify against him in which he said that Liang first worried about his job and then refused to make the call for an ambulance over his own cell phone and wanted to use his partner's which he refused.

    It's deeply fucked up.
