This debate is at UW-Milwaukee. I've been there! (Not sure which building, though. Looks fancier than any of the ones I was in.)
Also, today is the five year anniversary of Scott Walker and WI state leg. introducing Act 10, which sparked the Wisconsin Uprising. I wonder if it will get a mention. (It won't.)
Pragmatism is what inspires people to…what? .Look, she's right, everybody knows that, but the disaffected voters aren't going to come out for what's achievable.
Sorry, Shel I disagree. I am neither young nor old, so my vote doesn't count. I have never been confident, I have never been mellow, I have always filed a 1040EZ. Bernie speaks to me.
I'm not weighing in on the merits of either candidate, I'm just saying it's hard for me to get excited about the first Jewish president when we still can't come close to electing women. In fact, I doubt Hillary will get elected. And Bernie is great, but his millennial supporters are such assbags that I, for the first time in my life, am starting to want to ignore politics completely.
Well, shit. My mother only voted in one election: '84, for Ferraro as VP, simply because she was female. (My family was not involved in politics– punk actually got me completely involved). That should tell you something right there.
I don't give a shit about assbags, but I am wary of millenials, (find them ridiculously not-ready for actual shit– can't get outside me/phone/parent ass-bubble for one fucking second.*)
Shit, I went alone to protest Desert Storm in DC. I was 19. '91!! It meant something to me. I had my Nikkormat camera and observational qualities.. (still have pictures)
*Except you, snow! you are awesome. You would have been my best friend in Hamilton! when I needed one..
Hillary bringing up some pretty impressive endorsements. Probably won't impress the people who absolutely hate anything slightly "establishment" but those should help among some others.
The white areas that tend to be poorer vote Republican a lot. See West Virginia. That state has serious problems but really vote against their own interests an incredible amount.
It was intensely Democratic; it was also intensely pro-Union, but the legislature just got a right-to-work bill | through | with enough votes to get past the (Democratic) Governor's veto.
They are poor, deceived and exploited by their so-called "leaders" who are able to poison the drinking water with impunity. I suspect they no longer have any leader they trust.
Well, they are Democrats and policy wonks themselves (with more on their staffs) and really do have thoughts and ideas about this, so none of the absurd/goofy/awful/scary stuff the Republicans dote on ("sure we can base our foreign policy on sentimentality, nostalgia and false memories. And magic. and we can do the same with everything else"). Then the Dems come along with actual policy papers that don't base things on magic. What fun is that? Inpeach!
Funny how all of a sudden there are a slew of debates, most of which have nothing to do with the DNC
thanks
ObamaDWSWould not be surprised if she was forced out after this.
Miss Lindsey?
Hillary?
I know. Thought this was one of those "you know who else?" pile-ons.
Oh, that's why you two answered like that. It wasn't meant to be, anyway!
Hey, I signed the meaningless petition! (surprised they didn't have a debate at 6:00pm on SB Sunday)
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/updates/watch-live-pb… PBS link
|Zydeco. Why not?|
I'd sure like to paw through your record collection some time.
[ I don't have any , I have friends , though ]
I know one collector [ really kinda nuts… THERE"S A SMUDGE ON THE JACKET!!!!!!!!!!!!!.], and a couple people who just really like the vinyl .
It's the sound, man.
Bluetiful.. thank you for all your knowledge.
Stuck at work and can't watch with everyone. See you Saturday!
Work is the curse of the drinking class.
PBS is clearly glad to talk about other states for once.
Thanks, Supreme Court!
We're already on a break? O…kay.
Great gif, snow!

They said it was a concert hall, can't remember the name.
The teevee stage set is pretty homely though. Needs moar heat-exchanger-style podia.

Thanks!
I'm doubting that they'll bring it up too, but on the plus side this is PBS and they'll probably do a good job overall.
Hillary's outfit is the first time people in Milwaukee have seen the sun since October.
Ha ha, didn't want to snark about it because sexism/Beyoncé and all that, but….wow!
Shit, Hillz is being more pragmatic! C'mon, Bernie!
Pragmatism is what inspires people to…what? .Look, she's right, everybody knows that, but the disaffected voters aren't going to come out for what's achievable.
Oh, how I wish "everybody knows that" was true…
Wait, we're allowed to disagree on things and not yell? This is quite refreshing!
Scott Walker just got called out rofl
Sanders would be the first Jewish President, so that would be history too.
And he pointed it out, so subtly that even an anti-Semite might miss it.
Starting to feel like at this point, every man on the planet will get a turn at being President before a woman gets elected.

We can all agree that Republicans are awful!
Potheads for Bernie!
Nice to see race issues being brought up!
That other noise was Trump fans having their heads explode.
Demilitarize the cops, yes! And they get all that military shit from the feds.
But Bernie, our police need those tanks to keep the pumpkin festival calm!
Seychelles libel!
What happened with Obama is that all the racists came out and freely admitted it. They were always there.
"WHITE PEOPLE?"

That was the closest to a fight we had.
"We agree!"
"No we don't!"
"Yes we do!"
La signora_Quarantanova e ritornato, devo andare. Buona sera, tutti!
Sanders wants to jump on this donor thing so badly right now.
"People aren't dumb"
Donald Trump voters?
Glass Steagall would hurt you, Hillz so shaddup.
Oh, fuck me.
Enter Bernie!
He's from Troy, they should talk about strawberries. That would go over well there.
Sounds like Lindsey Graham is going to be really mad that neither of these two are going to put 50,000 troops on the ground.
The second half of that response was basically FUCK DONALD TRUMP
Yes, Bernie, we get you voted against the Iraq War. Do you have any plans about this decade?
Bernie's speaking TRUTH! *Clap!*
Okay, Hillary, can we bring up things from this decade? I get what you're doing but we really need to go forward.
Pol.. Pot.. Pol.. Pot..

Bernie was ready this time with the Kissinger comeback.
And Hillary was clearly ready for that one too!
@danpfeiffer
Having the debate center on Kissinger is the most PBS thing ever
We're talking about treating people like human beings! Nice time!
Oh no, they're fighting again… Hillary, we were having our nice time, don't do this!
Praising Obama=good. Might have been the wrong time, honestly. Kind of disappointed.
Okay, I'm also not sure that criticism of Obama is a very good one either. :/
PBS ran a really good debate. Even the few nasty moments didn't get too out of hand.
She's definitely good at this, that's for sure.
You love everyone. Shaddup.
Basco is so beautiful! Thx for the pic.
