      1. It's interesting that in a non-insane world, opponents who'd want to sink Kasich would bring up his terrible response to the Flint water crisis. But of course the other Republican contenders don't dare bring up that issue because their responses are equally terrible.

        1. Says a lot about Republicans: I bet a lot of people voting in that party approve of those responses.

        2. I mean, it's a world where the only one of the R candidates who has managed to actually put his plans to suppress human rights into action in a real, tangible way is the "moderate one".

  1. Polls closed in Mississippi.

MSNBC projects: Hillary and too early to call between TehRump and Canadian Anchor Baby.

    1. Officials said they mostly had to supplement Democrat primary ballots.

No enthusiasm on the Democratic side, eh?

    1. Meant to say Drumpf over Kasich by 2 percent but now he's up by 8 and has the ominous red Cross-Hatch of Victory.

  2. I have to attend the annual meeting of my irrigation district, which should be at least as much fun as throwing things at the teevee. Y'all enjoy yourselves.

    1. Didja ever notice Mitt Romney's sprinkler-head speaking style? He rotates his head all the way to the right, then moves back to the left in even increments.

  3. 15% in for Michigan

Trump 38, Kasich 27 (RIP upset alert), Cruz 22, Rubio 9

Sanders 50 (upset alert revived), Clinton 48

  4. Trump seems to be pulling away in MI, but the D side is still pretty tight (are the delegates divided proportionally there for the Ds like in most of the other states?).

    1. If you want to yank vechiojohns chain, tell him that what Fred actually said was " "I do not play no rock & roll y'all, just the straight, natural blues"

  5. 30% in MI, Sanders up 51-47. Detroit starting to come in, things could shift in a hurry.

Edit: I jinxed it, Detroit numbers stopped coming in for a bit

    1. I have to think Clinton will not do well in Detroit. Her husband's trade bills makes her name more poisonous than Flint water there.

  6. How's the evening going to College Boy? Finding any Marcomentum?

Oh: 9% in MI, 5% in MS.

Hahahahahahahaha….hate him the most of all, for some reason.

  7. "Oh, you're so politically correct!"

What, did someone ask Trump to stop talking about himself and start talking about actual issues?

I’m looking on the Wayne County clerk’s website to try to get an idea of where the vote is being reported from in Wayne County. It seems, at least as of earlier this hour, that Detroit was at 0 percent. The nearly uniformly white areas of Grosse Pointe Shores and Plymouth were at 100 percent. In other words, the percentages coming out of Wayne County right now don’t really reflect how black areas are voting.

    1. And yet NYT has granted Bernie the Ominous Green Cross-Hatch of Victory.

I'm as white as a boy from the suburbs can be, but if I were someone of whatever skin color who hoped to restore America's industrial glory and lived amidst its ruins, Bernie'd get my vote.

      Or maybe Trump.

  9. Hillary speaking, every cable news channel instead is on Trump & his steaks. Happy International Woman's Day!!

  10. In Mississippi's GOP primary (75% reporting), 2.5% have voted for candidates who've dropped out; 4.9% voted for Rubio.

  11. Apparently the final votes in the state to be counted are Detroit absentee ballots. If it ends up being close at like 98% we might not know the winner for days.

  12. OK, my dogs are making a fuss so I guess I'll have to walk them before finding out about Michigan. Fuck, the way things are going it might still be undecided when I return. BBL..

  13. 88% in. Sanders 50.4%, Clinton 47.7%. Sanders is probably going to pull off one of the biggest primary upsets ever.

    1. They really have been underestimating how bitter the Rust Belt still is about NAFTA. Hillary has work to do there.

  14. CNN talking head: moving forward, Hillary doesn't need to attack Bernie, she needs to focus on the economic issues people are worried about. I agree 100%,

Hillary, I know this was a rough night but you can and will bounce back. Stay strong and stay real!

  15. Well, I guess that means we'll have to work a hell of a lot harder here in Ohio. It's a similar state to Michigan.

  16. Here's a scary thought: It seems like in every contest so far, Republican turnout has been higher and Democratic turnout has been lower. (I think the numbers I saw as comparison were from 2008.) In Michigan tonight, so far, there are more than 100,000 more total Republican votes than Democratic votes, with more votes to count on the R side. Now, maybe, Democrats are happy with either candidate or maybe many voters assume Hillary will become the nominee and just said, "Meh," to voting in the primaries. Hopefully, they will come out for the general, especially in swing states.

    1. I still think Trump is the ultimate cure for that. Donald Trump is the type of candidate that people show up to keep out of office.
