    1. Yeah, last night was rough. I feel more tense knowing my state is coming up soon and it's right next to Michigan.

  1. So are we going to get to real questions or are we going to keep asking those two how much they suck?

  2. Hillz: I followed what my predecessor did, and fuck you I'm not getting indicted because I didn't commit a fucking crime!

I may not last if this questioning keeps up…

  4. Jorge Ramos has successfully interviewed Latin American dictators, strongmen, Junta leaders, presidents and was thrown out of a Trump press conference for asking several "uncomfortable" questions. He's sharp, informed and ruthless. Can you imagine Trump – or any of the other Republicans currently running for President – getting through an entire debate moderated by Ramos without screwing up, blowing up, flipping out or walking out?

    Yeah, me neither.

    1. This is what Primaries are for. The good news is that a robust debate invariably produces a stronger candidate for the General. The bad news: Free Opposition Research.

  5. OFFS, again with Wall Street.

OK, I'm just going to come out and say it: the problem wasn't that we prevented the banking industry from collapsing: it's that we didn't bail out MAIN Street as well. Oh, and we might have prosecuted some of the cowboys who caused the problem. But fuck, if we had done nothing our economy would have been WORSE FFS…

  6. I feel like both of their answers boil down to "give me a favorable senate so we can do something good" I also feel like that is very accurate.

  7. Reporters: Hillary, we don't trust you. WTF?

Hillary: For one thing, I overcame that hurdle in NYS when I got into the Senate. It's not easy but I get shit done!

  8. Reporter: Bernie, answer the fucking question please.

Bernie: I'll know the answer if and when Hillary releases the speech!

  9. Wall Street is an Equal Opportunity Contributor. The give money for influence, both sides of the aisle ant that's the way it's always been. I'm sure Teddy Roosevelt got some of their tasty cash before running out and busting those trusts.

  10. So can we fix the roads that are falling apart all over the place while we're doing that? Everyone complains about that and for good reason.

  11. Smart to call out the jail bullshit. It's pretty awful to have the second-highest incarceration rate in the world.

  12. From the NYT liveblog:

    Nicholas Confessore

Gonna make a call here, which will undoubtedly tick off some partisans of Sanders: At the 1:15 mark, Clinton is being questioned significantly more sharply than Sanders.

    Maggie Haberman

    Nick, I don't think that's even a close call.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this shit…

  13. Uh… Bernie? You both are trying to fix health care. You just have different ways of getting there. Stop making shit up.

  14. Climate change! Both of them should knock this out of the park, and I'm so glad we're getting this subject.

  15. UM…did the moderator just tell Bernie "This is your debate"?!?

OK, maybe he meant both of them, but that did not sound very good…

  16. Hillz is getting some pretty barbed questions, but they're genuine and somewhat technical issues that she needs to address. I wonder if the presumptive Republican nominee will go there, or just stay with the fabulist manufactured controversies whe've all had to suffer through all these years.

  17. Despite how this debate hasn't really been helpful, these two are still 100x better than Donald Trump, who seems to be a sentient caps lock key.

  18. Here we go, hitting a really good question, something that wouldn't likely be talked about outside of a Univision debate. Puerto Rico doesn't get enough attention because it's "not a state"

  19. And THIS is why we need to vote for Democrats in November.

I wish they'd have let Bernie answer btw, he really seemed to want to and I was interested in what his answer would be.

  20. Well, that was a rollicking debate. Does anyone else think that those two video clips (BEnghaZi! and Bernie from 1982) were ripped straight outa Opposition Research? They really had the feel of the shiv in the side.

  21. Jesus, whoever came up with the debate questions sucks.

And you kids have fun tomorrow night–I'll be doing work stuff again, bitch moan grumble. Good night!

    1. Related. Maybe it was the endorsement of Meghan;
“I was a huge Carly Fiorina fan and supporter,” McCain said on Neil Cavuto’s show on Fox News, stating that it was Fiorina’s endorsement of Cruz that moved her to support the Texas senator.
“I think her most notable moment was when Donald trump talked about her face, and she responded so eloquently during the debate,” she continued. “I think she has the capacity getting a lot of young conservative women taking a second look at Ted Cruz.”
“For me, honestly, I’ve been hesitant about Ted Cruz, and the Carly Fiorina endorsement has swayed my personal opinion,” McCain said.

Her father the senator has been less positive about Cruz, famously dismissing him as a “whacko bird.”

      1. by the way, just for citing purposes which i forgot b.c. of Cruz nyah nyah face………
that was from the Guardian, and the last line is theirs.
